Lighting Options for Your Home
We design each home individually. Your display is tailored to your architecture and style.
Roofline Lighting
Classic roofline outlines that define your home against the winter sky. We run lights along ridges, peaks, eaves, and valleys.
Tree and Shrub Wrapping
Lit trees and wrapped shrubs create depth and warmth. We wrap trunks and branches for a professional layered look.
Pathway and Driveway Accents
Guide guests to your front door with ground stakes, post-cap lights, and driveway accent lighting.
Window and Archway Frames
Interior silhouettes and exterior window framing add elegance without blocking your view.
Garage and Entry Features
Garage door outlines, front door canopy wraps, and pillar lighting anchor the front facade.
Permanent LED Upgrade
Ready to go year-round? We can add or convert to a permanent channel system on any residential property.
What Homeowners Say
"Our McLean property sits inside a strict HOA and we had been told permanent lighting would never get approved. Virginia Lighting Partners walked the architectural review committee through the design themselves. Approved on the first submission, installed three weeks later, looks like part of the house."
"Great Falls equestrian property with a long drive and three outbuildings. We wanted the holiday lighting to read elegant from the road but not call attention to itself. The team came back twice during the design phase to walk the property at dusk. That kind of care is rare."
"I work with several federal contractors who hold residential clearances at the property level. Virginia Lighting Partners ran a clean background check on every crew member and worked around our access requirements without complaint. Easy partner."
"Old Town Alexandria has more historic district rules than most people realize. We were warned that lighting on our 1830s townhouse would be a year-long approval process. The team had us approved and installed inside six weeks."
"Reston tech corridor property manager here. We hired Virginia Lighting Partners for two of our office campuses and they coordinated the install across three building managers without a single delay. Renewed for the next season the day they finished."
"Our Ashburn data center entrance needed a commercial install at a scale most residential lighting companies do not handle. Virginia Lighting Partners brought a dedicated commercial crew and finished the work overnight to avoid disrupting tenant access. Professional all the way through."
"Arlington row house, tight access, no driveway. Most crews would have charged a logistics premium just to get in the door. The team came in with a smaller crew, parked legally, and finished the install in one afternoon. No drama."
"Leesburg horse country property. We wanted permanent lighting that would highlight the colonial main house without lighting up the surrounding pastures. The design respected what we wanted. The crew respected the property."
"Our Richmond West End home is on a tree-lined street and we did not want anything that screamed for attention. Virginia Lighting Partners designed a warm white roofline that reads as architectural lighting year-round and a restrained holiday program for December. Perfect."
"Glen Allen estate with a long approach drive. We wanted tree wraps along the drive plus a full roofline package on the main house. The team turned it around in a single weekend and the crew was the cleanest I have hired in years."
"Short Pump shopping district commercial install. We coordinated a unified roofline treatment across four storefronts in the same complex. Foot traffic up year over year, and the property manager is using the install in lease marketing."
"Midlothian classic Georgian. We had used a different company for years and the install quality had been slipping. Virginia Lighting Partners came in, redesigned the system, used hardware that does not show during the day, and the difference is night and day."
"Henrico West End home with mature landscaping. We wanted accent lighting on the magnolias plus a permanent roofline. The design crew got the magnolia lighting exactly right. The lights highlight the trees rather than overwhelming them."
"Fairfax City colonial. We are picky and we have replaced two prior lighting installers. Virginia Lighting Partners is the only one who actually listened to what we asked for. Three seasons in, no service calls, no complaints."
"Sterling tech corridor commercial. Virginia Lighting Partners handled five connected office buildings on a single contract. Single point of contact, coordinated design, no scheduling conflicts with our tenants. Easy decision to renew."
Residential Lighting FAQs
- Many of the newer subdivisions around Lynchburg, Forest, and Timberlake require architectural review committee approval before any exterior modification, including permanent lighting. We prepare the submission packet for you, including design renderings, hardware specifications, and color samples. We have a strong approval track record because the systems we install sit inside the existing trim and are not visible from the street when off. If your association has unusual requirements, tell us during the initial consultation and we will design to them.
- Yes. We background check every crew member, we can provide credentials in advance of a scheduled visit, and we coordinate access through whatever protocol you need. Gated communities and security-conscious estate properties are common in our Forest, Timberlake, and Bedford work and we have it built into our intake process.
- Yes. Downtown Lynchburg, Amherst, Bedford, and Appomattox all have historic properties and review considerations, and we have been through the process. We use a concealed-channel install method that does not penetrate visible historic fabric and is not visible from the street when the lights are off. We have prepared and submitted historic district packages successfully and we can walk you through what to expect from the approval timeline.
- Our service territory is roughly a 25-mile radius around Lynchburg. That covers Lynchburg city, Madison Heights, Timberlake, Forest, Rustburg, Concord, Evington, Monroe, Goode, Coleman Falls, Amherst, Big Island, Bedford, Altavista, Appomattox, Spout Spring, Gladys, Lynch Station, and the surrounding Blue Ridge foothills communities. We keep the territory tight on purpose. It means our crews know the neighborhoods, our response times on service calls stay short, and we are not routing a truck two hours each way. If you are just outside the radius, call us anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve you well.
- Yes, easily. Virginia winters are mild compared to the Northeast or Midwest. Snow events are typically three to six inches and ice storms are the more demanding weather. The equipment we install is rated for far harsher conditions than Virginia produces, which is actually a reason permanent lighting performs so well here. You get the year-round flexibility, app-controlled color and pattern, and seasonal programs without the equipment fighting the weather the way it would further north.
