About Virginia Lighting Partners
Locally owned, nationally backed. Serving Central Virginia and the Blue Ridge foothills with professional holiday and permanent lighting.
Our Story
Virginia Lighting Partners is a Lighting Partners franchise built around Lynchburg and the communities within about 25 miles of it. That is a deliberate choice. We would rather be the crew that knows every neighborhood in Central Virginia than a roving operation stretched across the state. Our territory runs from the Lynchburg city core out through Madison Heights, Forest, Timberlake, Rustburg, Amherst, Bedford, Altavista, and Appomattox, into the Blue Ridge foothills. Historic brick colonials, Federal-style estates, hilltop properties with long approach drives, and lake and mountain-view homes are what we work on week in and week out. The people who design your install are the same people who show up to do it.
As part of the Lighting Partners franchise network, we bring national-level supply chain, training systems, and commercial-grade equipment to every job. As a locally owned and operated business, the team that quotes your property is the same team that shows up on install day and answers the phone when something needs attention mid-season.
The Lynchburg market rewards depth over reach. Inside our 25-mile radius we cover the Lynchburg city core, the established residential across the James River in Madison Heights, the affluent Forest and Timberlake corridors, the historic downtowns of Amherst, Bedford, Altavista, and Appomattox, and the rural estate properties running out into the Blue Ridge foothills. The housing stock is heavy on Federal-style brick, colonial, and classic Virginia farmhouse, much of it a century or more old, on lots with mature trees and long approach drives. Customers here value restraint over flash and they notice whether the hardware shows during the day. We design every install for the specific property and the specific neighborhood.
Our Commitment to Lynchburg and Central Virginia
Virginia Lighting Partners was founded on a simple idea: exterior lighting -- whether for the holidays or year-round -- should be handled by professionals who treat your property with the same care they would give their own.
We invest in commercial-grade materials because cheap lights look cheap. We invest in trained installation crews because sloppy installs show. And we invest in customer service because the best advertising is a neighbor asking who did your lights.
Being part of the Lighting Partners franchise network means we have the support of an established brand, proven systems, and industry-best purchasing power -- while remaining a locally owned business that answers the phone and knows your neighborhood.
We serve Lynchburg, Madison Heights, Timberlake, Forest, Rustburg, and the surrounding Virginia communities. If you are in our service area, we want to earn your business.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Many of the newer subdivisions around Lynchburg, Forest, and Timberlake require architectural review committee approval before any exterior modification, including permanent lighting. We prepare the submission packet for you, including design renderings, hardware specifications, and color samples. We have a strong approval track record because the systems we install sit inside the existing trim and are not visible from the street when off. If your association has unusual requirements, tell us during the initial consultation and we will design to them.
- Yes. We background check every crew member, we can provide credentials in advance of a scheduled visit, and we coordinate access through whatever protocol you need. Gated communities and security-conscious estate properties are common in our Forest, Timberlake, and Bedford work and we have it built into our intake process.
- Yes. Downtown Lynchburg, Amherst, Bedford, and Appomattox all have historic properties and review considerations, and we have been through the process. We use a concealed-channel install method that does not penetrate visible historic fabric and is not visible from the street when the lights are off. We have prepared and submitted historic district packages successfully and we can walk you through what to expect from the approval timeline.
- Our service territory is roughly a 25-mile radius around Lynchburg. That covers Lynchburg city, Madison Heights, Timberlake, Forest, Rustburg, Concord, Evington, Monroe, Goode, Coleman Falls, Amherst, Big Island, Bedford, Altavista, Appomattox, Spout Spring, Gladys, Lynch Station, and the surrounding Blue Ridge foothills communities. We keep the territory tight on purpose. It means our crews know the neighborhoods, our response times on service calls stay short, and we are not routing a truck two hours each way. If you are just outside the radius, call us anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve you well.
- Yes, easily. Virginia winters are mild compared to the Northeast or Midwest. Snow events are typically three to six inches and ice storms are the more demanding weather. The equipment we install is rated for far harsher conditions than Virginia produces, which is actually a reason permanent lighting performs so well here. You get the year-round flexibility, app-controlled color and pattern, and seasonal programs without the equipment fighting the weather the way it would further north.
- For Central Virginia, we recommend reaching out by mid-September. Our late October and November calendar fills early. The install window here is longer than in New England because the weather is milder, but the booking pattern still favors customers who plan ahead. Permanent lighting installs run year-round and lead times are shorter.
