We run scheduled Roanoke route weeks - crews working consecutive full days in the valley rather than driving an hour for a single job. Your install is scheduled into a specific week agreed in advance. It works well, and it is why booking early is worth more in Roanoke than in Lynchburg: route weeks have capacity and close when full. In-season service is handled within the route structure and we will tell you honestly whether an issue is a same-week fix or lands on the next scheduled visit.

My house is on a hillside. Does that change the design?

Yes, meaningfully. On a slope your house is seen from above or below rather than straight on, and often from considerable distance - a hillside house can be visible from across the valley. That means the elevation that matters is frequently not the one facing the street, and the long sightline needs designing for. We walk the actual approach and consider what the house reads like at distance rather than only from the curb.

Can you work on a historic home in Old Southwest or South Roanoke?

Yes. Nothing is stapled, nailed, or glued into original woodwork, period trim, or older masonry. Attachment is all-clip and matched to the material, and where a surface should not carry a fastener we route to the gutter line or fascia instead. Slate and standing-seam metal sections both get material-specific methods rather than a shingle approach. Every attachment point gets walked with you first.

Will the lighting wash out the mountain views or bother neighbors below me?

Not if it is aimed and shielded properly, which is part of the design here. On a slope, uncontrolled uplighting spills downhill into neighboring properties and washes out the mountain backdrop - which is a large part of why people live where they live. Precise aiming and proper shielding put the light on the house and the plantings and nowhere else, and it looks considerably better than flooding an elevation.

Do you work with downtown Roanoke businesses?

Yes. Downtown historic commercial and storefront lighting with material-first attachment, scheduled around your business hours so there is no crew in your doorway on a December Saturday. Where several businesses on a block want a coordinated look, we can run one design so the street reads as one intention. Commercial should book in August or September.

When should I schedule?

September or early October, and earlier is more meaningful here than in Lynchburg because of the route-week structure. Virginia's mild winters give a long comfortable season - October through early December in good weather - but Roanoke's capacity is set by scheduled route weeks rather than by daily availability.

How much does it cost in Roanoke?

Priced on linear footage, roof height, pitch, and material (slate and metal take specific methods and more care), the number of separate runs, grade and access, and scope beyond the roofline. Hillside properties can carry more access time. We quote after an on-site walkthrough - a slope genuinely cannot be priced from the street.

Do you take the lights down and store them?

Yes, both, included, within the scheduled route structure. Takedown is fast in Virginia because the weather cooperates. Your labeled strands come back to our facility and stay until next season.
