The mild Virginia climate gives us a longer install window than the Northeast and a much faster takedown season. Here is how the calendar actually works.

When customers ask how the install calendar runs around Lynchburg, the answer is simpler and friendlier than what you would hear from a New England lighting company. Virginia weather gives us room.

When We Recommend Booking

For holiday installs, we recommend reaching out by mid-September. Our October and November calendar fills, but we have more flexibility on the back end than companies further north because Virginia weather rarely closes the install window before mid-December.

When Installs Actually Happen

Most installs run from late September through the first week of December. We can install in December in most years, although we prefer to wrap the residential schedule by Thanksgiving so we can focus the December calendar on last-minute commercial work and on service runs.

What Closes The Window

Heavy ice events across Bedford, Amherst, and Campbell counties are the main reason we pause installs. A typical Virginia winter brings one or two such events and they last a day or two each, not weeks. Snow alone rarely closes the install window because the snow load is manageable and crews can resume the next day.

When Takedown Happens

Takedown runs January through mid-February. Virginia melt-off is fast, so we can run takedowns through more of the calendar than a New England or Great Lakes company. We schedule takedown to start the first week of January and most installs are down by mid-February.

Service Calls During The Season

In-season service runs through the active install dates and through the holiday programming season. Most service calls are handled within a few business days. After major weather events, our Lynchburg-area service rotations run priority routes.

Why Booking Early Still Matters

The window is longer than in the Northeast, but it is not unlimited. October is the easiest install month. November is workable. Early December is a tighter conversation. If you want a stress-free experience, book by mid-September. If you book later, call us anyway and we will tell you honestly what we can fit.
